I generally only use Bar soap (mainly Irish Spring) to wash my junk, ass crack and feet in the shower, everything else I use Body Wash with one of them girly sponge type things. I don't like the idea of using a bar of soap all over meself after it has washed my nether regions.
YMMV FWIW my favorite body wash soap is Neutrogena Rain Bath. So, next time your in the drug store buy Neutrogena Rain Bath, Irish Spring and a traditional aftershave like Clubman or Aqua Velva. Then you can say to yourself "This is what Chinaski smells like" If you want recs on laundry soap and fabric softeners PM me, then you can REALLY smell like me. |

I use a bar of soap head to toe. I don't want a shower full of bottles and gels and sponges and crap. Me, soap, water. |

You are gonna be sorry you aked:
Obsessed with bath products, one of the few "overtly girly" traits I posses. If shower, I do a salt or sugar body scrub like once a week to exfoliate, then always use moisturizing body soap on my loofah. If bath, epsom/sea salt combo with essential oils, scrub with loofah. Even hubs is obsessed with this stuff: https://www.sfsalt.com/shop-bath One of my favorite bar soaps: Hubs favorite soap, smells amazing on him!: |

Unsure how modern soap is manufactured, but I can tell a difference in ice cream. It used to be so dense. The last few that I have bought seem to have more air whipped into them than solid ingredients. I swear the stuff is mostly whipped up air that just is not the same. I imagine something similar with bar soap. Less ingredients and more processed or whipped? I use liquid shower gel type stuff anyway vs bar soap.

Ok, I broke out new bar of fresh Irish Spring this morning 4/4. Let's see how far it goes. Betting it is down to a sliver by this time next week.

A shower shouldn’t last more than 30 min.

The good ole Irish Spring became a useless sliver yesterday 23Apr19. So...just shy of 3 weeks it lasted.

Maybe you should write the manufacturer and tell them;
"Damn PETA, start using feral horse by-products in your soap again!" Hope this helps. |

Yesterday, heard a discussion on Irish Spring soap . Looks like what they said was true.
"Irish Spring soap repels mammal pests, such as mice, rabbit and deer. It does not repel insect pests. Irish Spring soap does not always eliminate pests completely , but can be a helpful tool to reduce the rate of attack on plants." https://homeguides.sfgate.com/use-ir...sts-97701.html |
