Maybe for people that are getting thunderstorms basically every day and photos of trees just isn't very likely, they can try for lightning shots?

Please define what you mean by "No photo editing."

I never use jpgs from the camera. I always pull the raw file into Lightroom and apply appropriate changes as necessary. All digital cameras use a profile to adjust the raw image according to some algorithm to create JPEGS - I just choose to take control of that process.

I just wanted to even out the playing field, by having people enter what came from their camera. Not all have the tools, knowledge or time to edit photos to perfection.

I tried getting some pics of a huge bad storm that flare up over south Dallas last night. From my house south of fort worth I could see the top of it as the sun was setting.

When it got dark I tried getting some lightning strikes in the distance from it. Which it was putting on a good cool light show. Just did not have the camera to capture it!

Will try to upload the pic of the storm top up shortly.



Two more days to get your tree or lightning pics in the contest!
