Wow! When I went full screen as you suggested, I saw the babies in the nest. Missed them in the smaller image. Impressive shots!

Maybe I am confused as to what you call it, the blue fringing on the branches. Almost all lenses have some. Some lenses are horrible with it. Your lens is not horrible with it and it's easily corrected according to reviews of lenses I have seen.
