Hi All! Noob Questions!
Hi All.
I´m Andy, and the proud owner of a right hand drive´64 Resto-Mod that i´ve just bought over here in the UK. The owner has just emigrated to Florida. It is about 98% finished. It has an SRIII chassis, LS2 engine(carburetted) and TKO500 gearbox, Dana differential .. I´d like to make some changes to the interior, as the original donor car(originally from Ohio) was missing it´s instrument panel and instruments when he bought it.(except for the clock). It has currently got a stainless steel dash, with Autometer gauges, but i want to return the interior to a more stock-look, and have got my old school buddy (who lives in Illinois), to get me a ´64 dash with instruments via EBay. Before he ships them to me, i wanted to get the gauges refurbished, and i wondered if any of you can recommend any companies to do this? A quick look at a few on-line corvette specialists suggests that the auxiliary gauges are cheap enough to buy new , so i assume i´d just need the Speedo , Tach, and clock doing.. Any advice would be appreciated PS why is there no "tech" forums for the C2? am i in the wrong place? Regards Andy |

Welcome to the Barn! Your in the right spot. To answer your last question, we don't have a lot of C1 and C2 owners here yet so until we get more traffic in this section we have not added a Tech section. Hope one of the few here can come along and answer your gauge question. |

There ARE companies that specialize in refurbishing factory gauges like that.
I don't know right off the top of my head, but a DuckDuckGo search should turn something up! This should get you started! C3 C2 C1 Corvette Gauge Restoration Services 1953-1982 - Mid America Motorworks C2 Corvette Gauge Restoration Photo 16 Welcome to the barn! |

I have used Rogers Clock for my gauges, nice work, but a little pricy. Click on the index below.
