To clarify the shift boot is made by Vette Essentials and it's specifically for putting a C6 shifter into a C5 in that the bottom of the boot slips into the C5's trim ring and the top of the boot mimics the OEM C6 boot with elastic so it slips into the groove at the base of the C6 knob.

We buy a vette to compensate for our size and then go about trying to shorten our shifters as much as possible
