I don't think you need to include a copy of the receipt. (you don't want nosy folks finding out what's in the box).

Tracking info and a letter stating My attached signature authorizes and acknowledges delivery of ups delivery, tracking # xxx.

That should do it.

my UPS driver will leave it on the door even if it says "signature required"

A man with lesser morals could take advantage of that.

The local facility for me is near Dulles airport. It is only a couple miles from my work, which is why I choose to pick it up rather than having it delivered. It is especially convenient on something that requires a signature.

I don't know what a "hub" is, but the Dulles facility accommodates both sending and receiving on site.
