When you have two month of drivable weather in Winnipeg your cars should last 50 years.

Only because it was the easiest car to work on, it's a Miata. I know of many NA cars still out there. They aren't being junked fast enough to provide race cars.

How about a low miles, reasonably maintained LeSabre. The 3.8 V6 was a great engine, and since it was no doubt driven by older people (assuming it wasn't sold in the ghetto and now it has swangas and a candy paint job), it hasn't been thrashed.

I'm just so rich and handsome that I'm thinking about picking up a 20+ year old car that I won't have to keep paying registration on and it will keep the women at bay.

Maybe an old Lexus ES? I actually used to really want one of those early 2000's GS with the ugly headlights.

If it's a full size SUV I would have to say my 2002 Expedition.
I've only changed the battery, alternator and fuel pump (my fault) since I've had it.
Today I used it to crash through and flatten the 3'+ high snow that was plowed in front of the house.

When I had a long commute I picked up Saturns dirt cheap and ran them to 200,000 miles. The only real repair was a wheel bearing.

I have an '03 Marauder that's been pretty darn reliable. It's basically a cop car and they go for 100s of thousands of miles.

I currently have two 2003-2007 Accord V6s. One auto and one manual. Reliable. Cheap and easy to work on. Quiet, smooth, nice driving cars. They get 26-28mpg. 30mpg on highway trips.

My 2007 4.7L Tundra is just about to hit 300k and is flawless. Those 4.7L V8's are legendary.

Toyota 4Runners have been berry berry good to me. Had a 2001 (my favorite generation) that gave us 7 years of flawless service until the wife totaled it. Next, was a 2008 that I had for 10 years and 120k miles. It needed a wheel bearing at 110k. Currently have a 2018 with 60k and no issues. Not an exciting vehicle by any stretch but they hold their value and are very reliable.

I agree. My NB had almost 300,000 miles on it when the asswipe blew a stop sign in front of me and totaled it. Every mile I drove it was a harsh, drive like you stole mile. Do the basic maintenance and it would have been at 400k by now.
