When you see the rare thread that has a Star rating (), do you mouse over it to see how many votes there currently are, and mentally calculate how much you can skew it up or down in case you don't agree with its current rating?

How do you vote for a thread? Can I vote early and often? Is voter ID required? What if I change my mind? Can I vote "terrible" just because I don't like the OP, or do I truly have to hate the thread? How would anyone know if I did that? Can I vote for my own thread?
