I liked Elizabeths on 37th. It was pricey but nice back a few years. Don't know how it is now but I am betting it is still great.

Check out Oglethrope mall off Abercorn it's one of the biggest malls I have seen and a good place to be when it's raining Uncle Bubbas is also a great place to eat. Be sure and hit the beach at Tybee.

Be careful of those cobblestones down by the river. Them suckers are slick as shit once the moist air settles on them....especially if you may have had a couple.

The hop-on, hop-off tour drivers are full of knowledge and tidbits of trivia.

We did a ghost tour thing some years ago, walking all over the center city, cemetery, houses, this after dinner/drinks....it was fun....more character to that city and a Bill the Bard play.....

Go to the Olde Pink House. It's on Abercorn just up from Bay Street (which runs parallel to River Street).

If you can make it out to Tybee for breakfast go to the Breakfast Club. Everything I've ever had there has been great, but the house sausage is the best.

Fort Pulaski out on Tybee is cool to see if you have some time to kill.

Get a beer to go from your restaurant/bar of choice and enjoy it as you walk around Savannah.

My first ex wife grew up there, her father was EVP of the Railroad that ran outta there, Ga. Pacific/southern? I forget the name....

after her father's passing, the family moved to DC, where I met/married her....

Ahh, River Street. Been to Savannah twice, a long time ago. The bars on River Street are great. Stores are mixed in with them. The bars have a two drink maximum for carry out. She shopped, I stood outside and "held her drink".

The cemetary tours are great, or you can just walk through them on your own. Ghost tour was pretty good also. Tybee Lighthouse was cool and gave a good view then, but on the last trip a lot of houses looked like they were going up. We had a good time both trips.

There are several good restaurants on River and Bay Streets. The Cotton Exchange is one of my favorites on River St. Paula Deens is way overrated. The Crab Shack out towards Tybee is good and has a great view of the marsh. Plenty of great places there. Ask a local or two ant they will point you in a good direction.
