One shop I worked at had a couple of those "hay'' wagons we would load pipe and/or fittings from our storage area to bring into the weld shop building. That double pivot certainly took a bit to get used to.

We towed them around with a forklift. I took a torch and made a hole at the end of one of the forks so you could put in a shackle to hook up the wagon.
That way you were looking direct at the wagon and not having to try to move in reverse and look over your shoulder at the same time. At least for me it made the operation much simpler. The bad thing was the boss then gave me the job of moving the wagons most times!

Having a dad that drove a truck for the majority of his life, I was taught how to back up a trailer. That said, for the life of me, I have no idea why step one for these idiots never includes getting both vehicles straight. Make it easy on yourself and line up FIRST. Then all your moves are small, not swinging from side to side across the entire lot. The only time I have had to deal with stupid angles is backing the trailer into the storage spot. That can be tight and there isn't room to go straight back.

Probably an equal percentage of bad boaters vs. bad drivers in ALL states.
Also, simple stats provide more bad ones in larger populated states.

yad knew this but want to deflect from his addition thread,,,

Several times he had the trailer in line with the truck, and pointed straight back at the ramp, all he had to do was back up, and the trailer would go right in.

Yep, great boaters in your state:

At least in FL we can get our boats to the water:

Learned it the same way. Got started with a trailer for my Jeep, then a 20' travel trailer. Now our 30' travel trailer is a piece of cake to back up, though the first time I backed into the driveway, I moved all other cars (daughter's car and my Jeep) out of the way, just in case. now I can put the trailer straight between the house and the cars with no issues.

He, himself, is 100% yankee, most of those in FL he pokes at are his relatives or peoples from his hood.

I wasn’t born here but I’ve been here longer than I wasn’t. The big difference is I assimilated, I became a Floridian.
Not someone from another state that lives here but is still a homie from wherever they came from.
I see many Florida residents with a sticker on their car or flag at their home from another state.

There's a hierarchy to this stuff. Here in the hills and lakes 30-40 miles south of Rochester there are people (boomers) who were born and raised here maybe going back several generations. I moved here when I was 31 (1981) so I can never have the status of a native.

People who have cottages on the lakes but live and work in/near Rochester are "flatlanders." They come out on the summer weekends and clog up the supermarket. After Labor Day when they go home for the winter it is great around here. I know or at least recognize nearly all the people who live here, so if I go into town on a summer weekend and see unfamiliar faces I know they are flatlanders.

Being here for 4+ decades my status has gone up. A lot of peeps I know have been here a lot less time than I have and they gotta show me respect. Not as much as a native would get, but at least some.

One of my neighbors is 79 this year, was B&R here, but him and missus are wonderful people and never treated me as a flatlander. Having lived on this road all these years (I was the 5th permanent resident, there are now 12) I've never had any disputes, or any problems really, with any others.

This is written mostly tongue-in-cheek, but there are still a lot of truths there.
