I was a teenager when Married...with Children was airing, and Peg always grossed me out.
Kelly, on the other hand.

I had no idea those were her sisters.

I actually remember seeing this show a couple of times and didn't realize Patricia Richardson (Jill from Home Improvement) was in it.

I saw recently that she has multiple sclerosis. Poor girl, my heart goes out to her.

At the periphery of my social circle I know a woman no more than 40, if that, who has MS. It rips my heart out to see her and now yesterday I see she is using a cane. Yet she seems so cheery and happy knowing that there are ups and downs, but that it is progressive, there is no cure, and will do her in at some point.

If I was Jesus Christ (chances are somewhere between Slim and none, and I saw Slim headin' outta town at sundown) I would cure this young woman that I barely know.

I've always had a thing for Christina Applegate, all the way back to MWC.

She filmed the final season of "Dead to Me" after her diagnosis, and it is hard to see.

I had this as an avatar at CF for quite a while.

Well, I agree with Aero about one episode being completely unwatchable, but the others have been OK. Light, mindless entertainment, some funny quips here and there. Watching episode 10 now.

It is no different than the original actually. It is corny humor. Mindless with punchlines you can see coming. The attraction for me is the simplicity. It's almost like sketch comedy from the Carol Burnett days. An escape from all the bullshit going on. aside from one episode, there is no message, agenda, etc.

that's what I was hoping for, but I didn't think it was funny...at all.
I stopped watching right before the episode DJ said went woke.

My wife has MS. Diagnosed in 2012. It changed her life. It explained a lot of the issues she was having. She tried a new medication in 2016 that has stopped the progression (for the last 6.5 years), and she's doing well. She runs, cycles, hikes, doesn't require a cane. But that's the bitch about MS - it all depends on where the lesions in the brain or spine are located. it affected her vision for a while, and the steroids she had to take with some treatments gave her cataracts, but that surgery to remove went well.

Since her diagnosis, we have hiked Rim 2 Rim at Grand Canyon three times, she's run several half marathons, and really started to live. A diagnosis like that can be a death sentence, but it is how you live your life the fullest you can that will matter. Being positive is the best option - being negative will just lead to an early grave.

My wife is VERY lucky. Her MS is very mild based on where her lesions are and hasn't impacted her life too much. But it was also a wake up call - get fit and as healthy as you can be cuz you never know when your time is up.

Good luck to your wife.

When I see this young woman who is 35-40 tops, I just think how fortunate I am -- being around double her age -- and I am more mobile than she is.

The first time was in a diner when the waitress came over to her and started cutting her meal up into small squares. I never even noticed her previous to that day -- she may have been in this diner before -- but this time I watched after the waitress left and both of her hands were shaking so bad she could barely get the squares to her mouth. Sometimes they would fall back onto the plate.

That put me over the top. I've been paying for her lunch (and her daughter's when she's there) secretly. Nobody knows about it but me, the waitress, and anyone reading this post.

And since that first day her hands haven't been as bad. But the last time I saw her she was using a cane. And so it goes.

I tuned in to ESCAPE the politics and BS and for 5 shows it allowed that, but dammit if they didn't have to go and mess it all up. I'll give it another shot next week and if it's some agenda driven BS, I'm out.

Why does EVERYTHING have to have some social spin?
I don't know, I decided to watch the Star Trek spin off "Discovery" and it got so blatantly "woke" I only watched a few episodes.... It was a "tour de force" of every social agenda item imaginable to the point the plot got lost.

So we decided to watch the hit series "The Last of Us" - dystopian sort of "Waling Dead" redux....about the 3rd episode they had two men engage in a lingering, over-the-top kiss, way beyond what I've rarely seen with hetero kisses. I can tolerate a bit of that but when its so obviously some writer/producer cramming this stuff in your face to make SURE you have to live through it to get back to the story - I'm done.
