I don't. It is perfectly normal to be an auto enthusiast and also be a responsible driver.

FerrariChat has a similar policy about street racing. It's a policy I agree with.

The difference between the two sites is how they're moderated. On F-Chat you get a warning or several, posts are edited not deleted, with clear information on which mod edited the post, what was changed and why.

We know how it is on CF. "For you, zee vore iss ovah. 2 veeks in zee coolah!", unless you're a mod, or one of the mods' pet hamsters.

I use to be a race car driver that made my income from racing for quite a few years.

And I do agree that street racing is STUPID! first of all there are no safety rules and chit...

I always drove inside of a steel cage and always felt safe.. serious, I felt invincible!

Guys who think their street car is safe are........


Racing can always be dangerous as we all know... but at least at the track people think about it, and try to protect themselves..

As an outsider I look at some of you guys that post here that road race, or parking lot race... and wonder how in the heck do you guys even think your cars are safe!


I guess it depends on the class and the rules, and how fast you really go.

But I did notice that Drew's car has a lot of nice bars and protective features where a lot of you guys do not..

Parking lot racing is only dangerous to the cones. The very fastest I have been at an autocross run was about 90. With a good 400 yards of concrete in all directions and no other traffic. I don't need roll bars for that. I have roll bars now and don't even use the car for track racing. Can't afford it.
