I have perpetrated a fraud on this forum by claiming I was in the "2.147 Club". I have recently found out that they were points (not Barn Bucks) earned by various forum members for their contribution to this forum. So therefore I have removed that particular distinction from my avatar and I sincerely apologize to the following for including myself in that group for which I had no business being there.

Yeah we had that over at arboristsite.com, worked well for many years, if you gave a good informativ,e or helpful post, someone could rep you, and it would accumulate in a little bar graph under your name, eventually building to a tier where you got a symbol and a graph, then 2 symbols, and so on...you could always tell who knew their shit..

Then, the chainsaw section guys started to rep each other all the time, and in a matter of weeks, the rep system was maxxed out for a dozen guys, so they expanded it to basically turn a full line of "symbols" into a single symbol. Then they each had rows of THAT new symbol...

now its a joke...

I used to go to a gming site that had a KARMA system, you could -1 or +1 someone's karma. Worked well until assholes went around minusing people all day...
