BEST WESTERNS, the list??, is your list better

Found this list on the interwebby, soemone did a lot of work.

For me, I start my list from the spaghetti westerns era, all before that I have not seen.

I am MOAR than partial to Eastwood flicks, my list would be ALL his, with Tombstone and Blazing Saddles and Mag 7 thrown in.

Because I am me, and not you, I would rather watch one I know and liked, than venture on one not yet seen.

My top seven would be:

1) GB and U
2) Tombstone
3) Unforgiven
4) A Fistful of $$$
5) A Few Dollars More
6) High Plains Drifter
7) Outlaw Josey Wales

Good persepctive by you, I should have done top ten, and put Mag 7 on the list, as a VERY GOOD western.

I did not grow up a John Wayne fan, am not a hater, just never got into his flicks.
John Wayne is a huge part, maybe the most hugest, of American Westerns, he is an ICON.

I enjoyed all westerns by Clint, so I would rather watch one I have seen multiple times, just me being me.

But what about Bad Day at Black Rock? Or Lawman? Or The Naked Spur? Or Firecreek? Or True Grit? Or Stagecoach? Or Once Upon a Time in the West?

The list is long and full of excellent flicks.

MMMmmm Bad Day at Black Rock with some crazy great starts, Tracy, Marvin (a war hero), Borgnine (ex Navy) and Robert Reich a heavyweight boxing champion and the ubiquitous Walter Brennan - a superb flick.

But not a gunslinging shoot 'em up IMO. Not like the legendary "My Name is Nobody"

And guess who was the actor with one of the fastest draws (appeared on Bonanza)...

Robert Ryan was a badass, even though he was a liberal. Hell, all those guys were badasses. Dean Jaeger was the cowardly sheriff in Black Rock, he also played the old prospector decades later in Vanishing Point.
