"Hey, I know there's 700+ of you, but you know I'd really appreciate it if you would all not do something that would allow me to not have to alter my life, since it's much easier for all of you to accommodate me than it is for me to accommodate you"

No, I'm saying your request is selfish, and by and large stupid. I don't expect you to understand it. If you did, you'd have never said it in the first place. I mean, surely you have posted to facebook to let all your friends know not to post status updates with the winners and losers right? Perhaps I was being unrealistic but as this place is much smaller that CF I thought it might be possible. Most of the people here I have known for 10+ years.

I knew FB wasn't even close to an option. I knew TV wasn't an option. I thought I might be able to read and post through here though.

I of course did not want to infringe on people's desire to discuss. Not in the least bit. If someone would feel empty and unfulfilled by not posting a thread title like AFC CHAMPS F**CKIN A JETS BABY, well then I guess it is selfish.

It was interesting that many people didn't see it as a problem but only a couple of people made an issue about it. All the other posters just questioned if it was even possible, which of course I wonder myself.

One other note, if I did login here and saw that someone posted the team names I would not complain. Not to them or anyone. Like I said before, I was asking for a favor. I would also never ask a favor of anyone that I would not do for someone else.

Odds are, it's because they don't care. And it's not possible. Hell, there's entire internet jokes and meme's about this exact thing. If you don't want to know what happened, stay off the internet.
