It still could have fallen that way. If he had the rifle muzzle in his mouth, then the rifle is not going to have anyone holding it once the bullet kills him. With all that recoil, there's no telling how it's going to bounce around.

And from just that photo, it appears that he ate the bullet. I guess it's possible he did a right temple shot, blowing out the left temple, but that could just be the way the blood pooled. Hard to tell with just the one photo.

I'm still thinking it's the revolver though.

Regardless, there's a finite number of people at the crime scene. They'll figure out who it was.

Reminds me of a quote from our Sheriff when I took the Citizen's Academy course. "Paramedics are wonderful people, they work hard and save lives, but they sure can fuck up a crime scene."

If those were official crime scene photos for evidence, shouldn't there be those little tents with numbers on then near every piece of evidence? Or is that just on TV and the movies?

His casualty count was around 575+- killed and wounded, so there are probably several thousand shell casings there. Markers in the room would be kind of pointless I would think.

Our local news just reported the gunman's girlfriend has returned to the US and was met at LAX by FBI agents.

Yeah. Some things seem strange. Then again, the person that can probably give the most insight just landed at LAX. You better bet they'll be chatting ole girl up for a very long time.

I'm actually surprised she came back, to be honest. If he had explosives in the house, as some have reported, she had to have known something. She lived under the same roof. Something about his behavior had to have been off. People who keep secrets like that always have tells...even if they don't realize it.

Yeah, he is acting oddly but I basically wrote it off to the position he is in and the stress he must be under. I don't know how I would be acting if one of my brothers did this.

She came in on PAL, Philippine Airlines, which often flies direct. (Get your ass back, NOW)

She could disappear there easily. Why come back? Also, what province. That's another tell. If a southern province in Mindanao, she's definitely gonna raise some ears due to the possible Muslim connection.

This is like the ultimate "Whahappened".

That's true, but for now I'll chalk that up to just learning that his brother is not only dead, but a mass murderer. That's got to be a lot to take in all at once. I'd think I'd be acting a bit goofy and rambling on too.

Still, somebody knows something. His brother may or may not know that there is more to the story, but I bet someone does, (cough/the girlfriend/cough). You know that anyone who even had a passing conversation with the guy is going to be scrutinized under a microscope.

She's an Australian national from the Philippines. That is a good question: Why come back to the US? There's no warrant for her arrest or anything. But I'm sure they (FBI/LVMPD) have been sweet talking her into coming back.

Funny that you brought up the topic of where she may be from (within the Philippines). I cannot find a single news source that gives that info. Not one.
