Default The Old '91 took a whippin' but gained some respect

I was cruising back home in the HOV lane this afternoon at "5-7" over the limit when I saw a sport bike coming pretty fast. It was just us with no other cars around.

I love seeing sport bikes when they see an "old Corvette" thinking it can play with them so I drop it in 3rd as he hit my rear quarter and kick in all 32 Mercrusier valves, 16 injectors, and twin cams on each side of the LT5

Of course once he realized what was happening he flexed his left foot, twisted his right wrist, and got tucked

By this time the shift light was telling me I had just pasted 7 grand and I might want to think about another position for the Hurst short shifter

He blew by me and I realized HE HAD A PASSENGER on the bike with him

He slowed down and when I got next to him he gunned it paying me back for jumping him but the old ZR-1 pulls pretty good in the 3 hole and held its own for a while. We exited the HOV at just over 60, a nod and a quick and we acted like the good citizens we are until he exited before the HRBT.

This made up for the cruise I had just been on with 20 other Vettes on some back road twisties where we actually were holding up a soccer Mom in a miniVan

When are you going to get rid of that, slow ass heap of glass?

I thought you were going to call me yesterday? I had it all worked out! I would start on my honey-do list, get a call, honey I gotta go help T. Got down to #5 on the list and thought WTF! Figured I better quit after that, or she'll think I'm really into this crap. It's all good, got a few things done and got a few brownie points in the process.

Who knew you could take 3 hours to run 65 miles in a Vette??? I was out at the Pungo Air Museum after a BCC Cruise and had to run home to let the pups out. Kwat is in Vega Baby Vegas!!!!

I figured I'd have time to run down your way but got passed by too many minivans and pickups on the route and lost all track of time.

Story must be false... everyone knows C4s are slow Did you have to flip that switch to activate the secondary injectors/plugs?

My startup routine for the Z
- Start Engine
-TURN ON THE POWER KEY
-Check to see the Power Key is ON
-Put in gear, triple check to see the power key is ON

I used to forget to turn it on and embarrassed myself on the AX/Track/Street too many times!!!!

It would be interesting to see what a ZR1 without the "-" would do in the same situation

There were some vids of a movie made at the aircraft graveyard with a bunch of hot cars a bikes where the camera/chase vehicle was a sport bike and a ZR1 took on something like and Enzo. The bike had all it could do to keep them in camera range.
