Chased a Vette

I finished my 1900 miles road trip yesterday. I got to chase a black Vette for quite a few miles, reaching a little over 90 in places. My Silverado did pretty good keeping up considering I had about 1500LBS in the back of my truck. I hope the guy in Eastern NY doesn't think I am nuts for tagging along so long. I knew he could have left me anythime he wanted. I didn't get to close as I couldn't stop very quick compared to the Vette. He must have a radar detector also, we both pulled into the right lane everytime my detector went off. In a couple weeks I will be back in my Vette again.

To all Vette owners, the nut behind following is either a Vette fan and or a Vette owner.

I know what you mean, I almost feel like we need a way to indicate we are Vette owners when in our other vehicles around Vettes on the road.


I did 1800 miles in the Vette a couple of weeks ago and was "almost" disappointed to see Hampton Roads in the windshield.

Did 500 miles in the wife's suburban and was ready to be home after 100 of them! Kinda hard to put 1500 pounds in the back of your coupe though Jeff!

If it wasn't for the loads I have to haul and the work I need to do on my "vacation", I would have brought my Vette. Hopefully this fall I can bring my Vette to winterize.

I will head back in about two weeks. Pollen season should be done by the time I get back.

Out of habit I always wave to other Vettes even when I am in my work truck...but how do some really know if I am a fellow Vette enthusiast or just waving.

Maybe we should get a big red "V" tattooed to our forehead.

I have waved out of habit when in my truck also, I got the stare like who are you back.

Then they would think we are Cadillac guys....not that there is anything wrong with a nice V series Caddy.
