I know women who have had both. They've told me that the kidney stone is worse than childbirth. The one here in the office said that she didn't have an epidural either.

While I smoke it's 1-2 in AM and later when I have a few beers. Trying to cut back so not trying to smoke when driving or around any of the G-Kids. While they say I have COPD; I found if I can keep my lungs clear I can get by wo inhalers. i know I have to quit and sooner than later. G-kids are starting to give me crap. Hurts when ya hear it from a 3 yr old

Finally got over the crud or what ever what was going around. I was wheezing and coughing like 8 cyl running on 5 plugs for a while

Mike, I quit smoking about 1.5 years ago. I smoked for 40 years, never believed I'd be able to quit. I tried a few different times but mostly cause other people pressured me, it never worked. You have to want to quit, once that happens it's easier. I did use Chantix for 2 months and I'd say it really helped. The one thing I regret about it is that I avoid the things I used to do while smoking. So things like taking the boat out, riding the Harley, driving the vette, even working in the yard still trigger that desire. The desire passes more quickly now and I'm used to it, but it's still there none the less.

Hope he can break the addiction, it is a VERY strong one for sure. If he has gone weeks in the hospital without he is over the withdraw, but the addiction remains. My patients tell me the only way they were successful with stopping was replacing that addiction with something else. > cinnamon tooth pics, one guy put a little book of sudoku games in his front picket where his cigs were, did that puzzle every time he reached for his cigs in his pocket.

I learn lots from what my patient share with me on how they dealt with it. My mom quit after he cardiologist chewed her out, she walked out of the clinic and never smoked again. Was SO proud of her.

What type of tests do they do for this screening? The web page doesn't say what the screening consists of. I'm not a fan of getting anymore x-rays, for 5 years they constantly x-rayed my chest for Leiomyosarcoma. I've been cancer free for 13.5 years now.

Around 1995 when I was still smoking, my Dad told me that even though he quit in 1960, he still got cravings from time to time. I quit 12/31/1996, so I haven't had a single puff in 23 years. I know what he is saying too. On the average day, I have no cravings at all. But every once in a while, I'll have just the right amount of beer buzz, and I'll smell cigarette smoke and think "Damn, that smells good!"
