Naw man. I didn't buy it yet. Just took the pic cause I wanted you to see it. I axed the meat dude if this a regular item because I never noticed it before. He said yup, have it all the time. I'll buy some when I'm ready to make it.

Now where's that Paula Deen recipe.


Oh and good call on the freshness date. The pic was taken Sunday, the 25th. I'll make sure I get it fresher.

Around here its about 3lbs for 4 people.....and that has a lot to do with flavoring cause gumbo is a lot of water.


Also; your sausage will shrink.......





That's right; buy as fresh as you can......that day and don't freeze if possible.

Seeing that we are talking food, I made my famous Chili and Honey Cornbread yesterday. It was great but Linda got an allergic reaction-we think- and ended up with a fat lip this morning. Been popping Benadryl's all day.
