Not enough of them on the road to cause the EPA and greenies any concerns???

I've noticed a trend of late, especially around my way, pick ups are jacked-up higher in front and seems like open pipes, loud as hell.

At least the new Harley and KTM models come with them (Converters).
Can't speak for the other manufaturers.

Loud pipes save lives.

This has never been a truer statement as for today's pre-occupied-with-their-phone drivers.
I'm darn near afraid to ride my bike anymore.
Rode it today to work.
At a RR crossing, after a long train (100 + cars) passed, I took off
once the gates opened. I was mayber 20 cars back. On-coming traffic had at least 20 cars. They all started to move, except the 2nd last car. Bitch texting on her phone. Pick-up behind her - dude was fuming but didn't blow the horn.
WTF? bitch! Really?

BTW, I have Hard Chrome pipes on my bike. It may be loud, but it has baffles/mufflers that aren't removable.

My bike (that hasn't been ridden in a couple of years) has V&H Longshots.....they have baffles that I think are removable, but I wouldn't want to. Cruising down the road, they aren't horribly loud, but blip the throttle, and, well, yeah, you can hear them. No cats though, it's an older bike.

If loud pipes save lives, why don't you face them forward? You're sending most of the noise where you've already been.

Loud pipes ( as in pipes that are annoying ) seem to piss off a bunch of people and make life more difficult for the rest of us motorcyclists.

When I rode, I always did all that, but cheated by wearing blue jeans. When I went down, yep, road rash on one knee.
