Microwave (over the range) Oven
My Frigidaire nuker is gone. Need opinion on the best and which NOT TO BUY.
I nuke everything; thus, I need some quick help, and then I'm ordering one. Meanwhile, I'll eat Dominos. |

GE here.... it's a workhorse with light and vent fan. it's over the range and 12 years old. To replace with same size (the most important option) is like $400

Don't get one for over the stove. Pretty bad place to put an electronic appliance and the vent does **** all. I ditched the one over my stove and I'll be putting in a proper range hood that vents outside. Countertop nuker is fine.

Damn, there that is a grease trap indeed. Thanks for mentioning the range hood. I had in my mind that the empty space would look like an ass. Dude, you gave me the best choice!!! |

We've had an Electrolux in our current place for ~7 years with no problems. Same brand in our previous home, don't recall how many years. Also no problems.

My GE microwave died suddenly when I shut off power at the breaker; when I flipped the breaker back on, the microwave was dead.
I replaced it with a Whirlpool unit. |

I had this unit installed in my basement back in 2010 and never turned it on with all the packing materials still inside.
The electrician ran all the lines needed behind the drywall and then it turns out I had purchased the only non commercial microwave that takes 220V. This thing was like $2400 13 years ago and it actually toasts bread. What’s wrong with me? |

It rocks. With install, $1200 is cheap. We have a ventahood in the main kitchen. It moves a ton of air and is much quieter. OP, we’ve had three over the ranges. Jen air unit was trash. Both GE units were fantastic. Note GE is now Chinese. |
