Default Strangest looking flower I've ever seen!

Has anyone ever seen one like this? It is growing in the woods in my backyard. Strangest damn thing I have ever seen. It's growing out of damp leaf litter that is about 2" deep. Completely white with just a little black. I'm calling it a death plant because it looks like something from the afterworld!

It sort of looks like something in the mushroom family, but with a flower on top.

Forward a pic to your state's Dept of Ag or plant/animal website, they'll tell you.
You best stay away from it, you could get some sort of creepy crude if you touch it.

Let an expert handle this, please: At first look, I thought this plant was a Sperminis Ivy:

Name:	ivy.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	137.7 KB
ID:	31123
But this plant has a distinct and sickening odor. It's doubtful that The OP would be able to take the photos that he shows.

Then I thought that these plants were Lil' Boners:
Name: lilboner.jpg
Views: 66
Size: 63.5 KB
However, Lil Boner plants seem to be much too small, and it's a fungus anyway. These little rascals literally pop up everywhere, even when you don't want it to. Then other times you want it to and it won't.

I next considered the Red-Tipped Dick Vine:
Name: redtippeddickvine.jpg
Views: 68
Size: 73.6 KB
As you can see, however, the plants in the OP's Pictures lack the red color. Besides that, it is a crime to show them to children.

I finally came upon the answer...the Clitoris Bulbaris:
Name: Clitoria flower RK .jpg
Views: 67
Size: 26.5 KB
The plants the OP shows are not yet mature; when they do mature, she's a beauty but she is very hard to please. If she doesn't like the way you're watering her, she will die, but not before several emasculating passive-aggressive comments about your plant-watering ability.

I hope that this settles the discussion. You're welcome.

From the files of the weird and/or wild; there was a poppy plant growing out back of the ATOC office at Bagram, Afghanistan. It makes a pretty plant all purply and green but fukk all if I touched it.

Theres a cool app called Seek available on iOS that will take photos and identify the type of flower/plant. Tried it on my dog and it said Domestic dog and not a blue heeler. eh

Haven't tried it on my wife or kids yet.

And it returned Indian Pipe too.
