Thats about 50/50 highway at 70mph and stop-go traffic. It's much higher on the highway and I'll get some numbers when I go to Orlando this weekend.

My friend's wife has one but it may be a couple years older. ( 2017? ) They've had very good luck with it ( towing a travel trailer too ) so when it was time for Mike to get a new vehicle, he got a new diesel RAM 2500

I will get more details on her "buggy"

Haven’t heard anything bad about the EcoDiesel. You should be able to get a great deal on the Classic. Make sure you look at the crew cab and not the quad cab.

The difference between GM's junk 8 speed and Dodges is night and day. I have not had one time of the trans hunting for a gear or shuddering. On the Denali it was in the shop 4 times in the first 6 months. The V was in twice for the transmission and it was acting up when I got rid of it.
So far the TrackHawk has been very good, almost at the 12K mark and only trip to the dealer has been for oil changes and tire rotation. The V was back and forth a few times for blowing black smoke on take off. It was nice to see the back of a white car having an oily look to it.

So the wifey wants something fancier after all these years in the sonata. And ive realized how much i rely on blind spot monitoring with the car seat blocking the passenger side windows. I hope to go drive the ecodiesel soon, but i don't think the 2019 Classic Rams will have enough driver aides. Not sure right nows the right time to buy a 2020 but well see.

Probably going to go see if the car seat will fit in the large SUv Mercedes makes before i buy anything for myself, but well see.

Dealership couldnt find anything wrong with the transmission, but in a coasting or slowing sitation with partial throttle the whole car vibrates, its either the cyl deactivation or the torque converter, my moneys on the torque converter.

I could porbably just tune it and bump up the pressures in the transmission and make it go away if i wanted to keep this thing.

And then what? Wait for the next item to drive you nuts like the AC or power windows. I'd take my chances on swimming in shark infested waters over owning another new GM product.

Are you adverse to buying used with warranty? You could get a full size truck, diesel, all the bells and whistles, and plenty of room for the car seat in your price range easily with a truck that's 2 years old and fairly low mileage (say...40k miles on a diesel). i've heard nothing, absolutely nothing good about Mercedes products after the warranty runs out.

Oh, before I forget. Here's my mileage and stats to and from Orlando this past weekend with some heavy traffic and congestion. I kept the cruise set at about 73mph so I could stay in one lane and not have to dodge the slower cars. Average was 26mpg

Dunno if this will be a factor for Stanglover, er, killer, but the RAM 1500s are build in the US. The 2500s and 3500s are build in Messico.
