No way. Pool tables suck. Got one for my man cave and the kids beat the shit out of it and never used it for pool. Sold it on Craigslist for maybe a grand. A Korean family showed up in a station wagon, disassembled the thing and took it out. Watching them leave was priceless, dragging the ass of the car of the road with 1000 lbs of table. I asked for cash before they turned a screw to take it apart.

About 56 years ago Dad put in a pooltable in his new house basement.....not so very long after that, he and a few business partners got together for a party, and of course gathered around the pool table, it was summer time so I was home from school.....it was really funny....they take turns shooting 4-6 in a row, then of course alternate.....then at one point Dad said alright, time to stop playing around and ran a few racks.....then Gus took over ran a few racks, Johnny went next and did a few less......the wives were upstairs chitchatting.....

So it went on for a few rounds.....then it extended not just 4-6 racks, but as many as 8 here I was looking at some 'old guys' who shot FAR better pool and made it look easy than the BEST kids I ever hung with....HS through college.....I was never any good at it, like all sports.....

what were the odds that 3 business partners could be running racks like that?? all 3 of them?? shit.....50 billion to one?? Dad from Cleveland Ohio, Johnny from Md, outside DC, Gus from Minnesota.....go figger....

I bought my current table new but the previous two cost me $25.00, and nothing but the labor to load it in my truck for the second. The $25 table went in my carport until a neighbor offered $350. The free table replaced that after I bought some "felt like" fabric at Hancock fabric and assembled it. Total investment about $30. Sold $400 when I was finished using it.

Pool builds eye hand coordination, is an actual, practical use for geometry and provides hours of fun, indoors for all weather play with almost zero maintenance cost after initial investment. A good value for money spent.

I can run the tables...bar box or 9'. 8-ball or 9-ball. Just gotta learn the lighting and glares on the pool balls.
