I am not at all, nor is ANYONE except YOU, discussing why our military is there. This is about rescuing Americans that YOU think should be abandoned because they took a job there. Those Americans are enjoying the free market and what it affords them. It is not a death sentence and shouldn't be one. Different story if their base gets bombed. That is NOT the same as having your own country pull the rug out from under you.

If I take a job in Afghanistan welding armor for $185,000 a year, I am part of a Capitalist system. I have a marketable talent, they have a need. I am not enslaved to work there and they have no obligation to hire me. It may be that everyone else wanted $200k. We freely and without force, agreed on terms. See if that happens with the Chinese government and a Chinese welder.
