My prediction...mower shop sells him a carb for 180 bucks when a pair of side cutters and 3 minutes would have fixed it

May have to get a new spark plug later this week.

Didn’t start yesterday.

Hit it with some sandpaper like in the old days.

The new "mixture" they pass off as gas seems to ruins spark plugs if flooded or soaked. The "old gasoline" we grew up with the sandpaper or air nozzle would make a plug work again.

Now, not so much

Interesting, I never knew about that.

The best thing to do during winter months is to start anything with a motor at least once a month. That should keep the nasty gas flowing, oil flow to parts that need it, and remove any condensation.

new spark plug acquired, tested and found it has a spark (yay!!), installed...and no joy, still won't start.

so i go to the other side of the engine, and find that the carburetor is leaking....sigh......guess i didn't get something tight enough last time.

guess it's about time to find a small engine repair place.

This isn't rocket science. I mean, even Porter could probably figure it out.

Yes, because that's all he can reach to work on without a step ladder
