Default Golf and Silver coins
While cleaning out the house after my mom passed, we have uncovered a significant amount of gold and silver coins that my dad purchased years ago.
Not a “life changing “ amount but still enough that my preliminary research
Shows we are looking at over $50K. Coins are uncirculated condition. Silvers are still in original packaging from US Mint
Who/Where is the best way to sell?

my dad had an 1899 Morgan dollar, he liked it because it was over 100 years old. i snagged it, and it's in my pocket. cool piece.

if you want ease of disposal (assuming you don't just pack them up and send them to me), try a local coin shop. you won't get retail prices for them, but they will be gone.

check ebay for some price comparisons.

Take the time to see if any have extra value over precious metal content.

As stated earlier, check ebay for items that sold.

Maybe but current ones don't like silver coins which are lighter than what we mint at present. I recently traded 4 silver quarters from a fellow employee because the Coke machine at work spit them out repeatedly. When I asked if he had any more from the same batch he asked why... he had no idea what they were made of.
