Ms. DAB update, chemo begins
Linda is still at the cancer center, about 2 more hours to go. a long day, about 7 hours total, ugh. Just brought her some lunch and munchies, will go get her in a bit.

Have a handful of family and friends going through either chemo or radiation treatments now. Not any fun for sure.

Just make sure she keeps eating even though she might not want to. Force her. My Mom is a 3 time cancer survivor (3 different types) and whenever someone she knows is diagnosed and ask for advice this is the first thing she tells them.

Everyone reacts to chemo different, some have almost no side effects and some the other way.
Friend tried driving herself to chemo in Durham, made her mom drive her instead as never know how will react plus company always a good thing during these times. Lots of C in my family and treatments now are alot better. Prayers for Linda and may the treatments be the ticket(I'm sure they will) to beating this. |

If her appetite diminishes, maybe have one of our resident dope smoking hippy liberals send her a little care package. I've heard that the Devil's lettuce is great for promoting appetite.
Seriously though, y'all got this. And be sure to let her know that there's a whole assortment of Group W rejects all across North America that care about her and support her. We care.  Edit: I've also heard that wearing a "cold cap," or an ice pack on the head, something like that, will help prevent hair loss. If y'all haven't already, look into that. |

thank you all.
got home just after 5pm. we left the house around 8:15am. so a long day for both of us. while she was at the lab (the first 90 min I was there with her, listening to the nurse tell us what to expect), I ran errands (grocery shopping), and then brought her some lunch and munchies. we return tuesday to have some 5 day pump disconnected, and then do this all over again in 3 weeks from today. same long day, again. 6 total planned. |
