Default How many, if any, pipe smokers here?

I just recently started the hobby. My father smoked a pipe for years and stopped when he and mom started a family an I have always been curious about it mainly due to the aromatic blends.

Right now my inventory of tobaccos is rather limited. Of course the old standby by Lane 1Q, Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening, Black Knight Royal, a nice whiskey Cavendish, and a buttered rum. Blend.

My current, and only pipe, is a Scotte Tobacco pipe Handmade Ebony Wood. The one I have asked for as a Christmas gift is Savinelli Miele Honey Pipe 642. https://www.amazon.com/Savinelli-Miele-Honey-Pipe-Tobacco/dp/B00V9052LW/ref=pd_ybh_a_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=S1MFJCZG62BYE0TYGGAV

I have the occasional cigar only but pipe smoke is perhaps the only form of tobacco that has a pleasant aroma.

My only issue would be looking goofy or outdated rockin' a mouthpiece in public.

I did for years, gave it up about 5 or 6 years ago...

I had several nice pipes, Peterson, Savinelli, Parkers etc. And some vintage ones as well. I sold most of them when I got out of the "hobby"

I was big on flake tobaccos. Twist/Navy Flake etc. Squadron Leader was another favorite of mine. I even enjoyed the occasional bowl of Carter Hall and Prince Albert. (I love the aroma of Carter Hall )

FYI, some of the Parker Pipes are basically Dunhill Seconds, you can get some good deals on them.

I smoked a pipe in college.

Ten years ago I stopped all forms of smoking. It's just a nasty habit.

Stopped smoking around 1981.....best thing i ever did but do still like the smell of a good pipe......My dad over 80 years ago worked at Kaywoodie and I still have some of their pipes......never used probably 90 years old.
