I'm fairly certain that question wouldn't work out so well for a vast number of EITHER parties constituents if you simply replace "4 years" with "a couple decades".

It's so easy to debate a Democrat. You literally need to say nothing. Their words on their own defeat them. The agenda items and talking points dems use are so ridiculous, so asinine, that they require nothing in response. Half the country truly believes that. In many cases, multiple generations are lockstep with things like this, thanks to the long march through the institutions. They're getting those views affirmed in schools, at their job, by the MSM, and even no, sometimes, at their churches.

Look at the current dust up over the left's fascination with putting boys in girls' restrooms. You've got about half the country that is not only just fine with that, but thinks YOU are the baddie for saying anything opposing that. And these are the same people that successfully argue that shutting down oil and gas drilling has no effect on prices at the gas pump.

I've always seen it from the dems...that's why I made my comment. But I do NOT believe half of the country believes that BS either.

We all know the current administration cheated in the last elections to achieve the "80M" number...but even 80M is not "half the country." What I'll say is that people know right and wrong (in most cases). Those that are discerning enough to know the difference do NOT side with the left talking points and agendas. The main issue is that those people now live in a country where the environment regarding speech has changed and it's no longer okay to call anyone out for aligning with the lefts agendas. People are afraid of being cancelled, fired, punished, admonished, etc. because the world is so much smaller now. So live suffer in silence until voting time. Occasionally, a few 'action folks' step up to protest or make some noise, but that fear of fallout from doing so silences the majority.

I will say that as far as suppressing the voices of your opposition goes, the dems are absolutely crushing us at that game.
