Heater core hose
Anyone ever replaced the heater core hoses on their c6 yet? My wife's been driving the vette the last couple of days and I spotted a small leak in the garage. I think it's the heater core hose because of where it's leaking. I've got the hose but can't figure out how to get the t fitting to come apart. Any help would be awesome

The part that attaches to the water pump, or the end behind the engine? Don't rule out the water pump either. I just replaced mine on my 08 with 21k miles on it. they only leak when warm too-kind of sneaky.

It was leaking up front by the refill/overflow. I changed out a section of hose but have yet to figure out how to get the t fitting to come appart.

I was just in mine to do the water pump, but i didn't even recall the t-fitting on it- had to look at pics on parts websites. It seems that they sell the entire piece for about $60 or so.
Otherwise, you will have to buy a barbed hose coupler and cut and graft the bad end. |
