Garden rat!
Had a groundhog in my corn a few minutes ago.
BB guns aren't very good for more than just chasing him off. Stupid dog just laid there ignoring it. |

I will take any suggestions (short of shooting the SOBs) under consideration. I'm not going to jail over a big rat.
PS-The sumbitches have a hole under my shed which is totally inaccessible. Anyone have a Python they want to lend me? |

I live in town so i don't want to risk hitting a hidden rock or something and end up hitting one of the pathetic air breathers that hangs out at the lake. Ok, maybe that would be a bonus.

Go to your local builder supply store and buy the metal lath they use for plastering. We cut the panels in half length wise to get double the length. Dig a trench in line with the side and bury it as deep as possible, then nail every 6" against your shed to keep the top edge in place. Back fill with dirt. I would start out by doing one side and the back. Groundhogs MUST have two exits to their burrows or they will abandon it. They will try to excavate a new hole but will not be able to get thru the metal and will leave. Jeff |

I caught the woodchuck that was digging under my deck. Got him in a HaveaHeart trap and released him about 20 miles from my home. Pretty painless for both of us.
