We have two. Both are knotty alder stained medium to match the floors and interior trim. Just had them refinished this year.

No egress from the ground to the front porch! Porch is well screened in, is 28'X16' and was designed, built and PE certified for the large hot tub we had on it. Porch has a nice view of the reservoir and in good weather we eat out there often!

FWIW after 26 years of owning two different hot tubs we got rid of it.

Red doors are also indicative of houses that are paid off. I painted the last home's door red the day we made the last mortgage payment. This place was purchased with cash but SWMBO wanted black, so black (with stark white trim) it is.

I installed three of those when I first built my house. They warped, just enough that field mice had access. Got rid of them and installed fiberglass.

I refinanced to a 15 year mortgage when the market bottomed, so it's super low. My investments make about 4 times that rate. Needless to say, I'm paying my mortgage off as slowly as possible.
