I don't know if I agree with Ryan's proposed replacement. It's definitely better than what we currently have, but I don't know if it's "right"

Medicare has unfunded liabilities of 79 Trillion dollars as of today.

Yet we cannot talk about it, change it or doing anything that will upset the progressive apple cart since the Dems will win if we do.

Yet if the Dems win it will still have massive unfunded liabilities and it will have to have major over haul or we go bankrupt.

HC in the form of any government program has proven to be a failure. Medicare, Medicade and now Obamamcare are failures. Why? Because they cannot solve the basic problem. Government cannot manage anything since it is run by people looking to grow their power and influence. Once they have a program that allows them to spend money it gains them power and influence and will then fail.

Medicare was originally designed to help the MINORITY of people who did not have defined HC programs in retirement. Since 1965 almost all retirement HC programs have been stopped since they became too expensive for companies. Why did they become too expensive? Because companies realized they cold drop their plans and the government would cover their people leaving the money for them. The Companies were happy and the government was happy since they had more voters needing them.

OH HELL YES, Medi ANYTHING, shut down the majority of the PHS except CDC, which remains as a clearinghouse for various state agencies....

then I go after well over 80% of the Fed agencies.....EPA, is top of the list....

SO many bureaus full of Do Mo Craps on the public dole doing nothing, ans set there laughing about it, and yes after 53 years in the Wash Dc region knowing that bunch.....listening in on conversations, being to parties with them just working, visiting homes, dare anyone to tell me that I"m rong, just ain't happening...the joke's on YOU America.....so over 50% of the budget gets cut off COLD turkey.....

when the debt is 1/3 the size of today, we can then cut taxes....

and that's just the surface of the matter....

Well … if you have eyes or ears, you’ll see and hear that 75% of the Country isn’t a Minority; and if you look up Medicare’s origin you’ll also see the President Johnson’s Social Security Act of 1965, that was more than 25 years into the making, wasn’t created for Minorities.
