Here you are doubling down on a simple mistake. Why not just admit it and move on?

A Cayenne is about $20k more than a Macan. It also gives me a bit more room in my garage.

At one point in my life I had an Expedition. I was hauling my son and I to USSA events with all our gear, Baby Doll was hauling hockey players and their gear to east coast venues. We had a dog and our weekly commute to the mountains with our kids and their friends.

One HS was over I traded that in for a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Now that its just the two of us, the Macan suits us perfectly.

Again, I'd have a 718 if it would fit skis and gear....
Please point out what part of this post is a narrative:

Btw-Isn't the Macan the smaller girlie version SUV from Porsche? I thought you had the Cayenne.

When I was in college I took 100 mile rides about on once/ week. I had about six quad maps spliced together on my wall and had most of the roads committed to memory. Usually on Sundays- when the weather was good. We'd pick a destination, pack a picnic lunch and be on our way. Just me and Baby Doll, cruising along those lonely country roads.

Pounding out the miles on a Bagger isn't too hard. I wouldn't do it at the beginning of the season though. After sitting all winter you do get out of riding condition. Those Geezer Glides are heavy pigs.

That is not a narrative. That is an opinion.

Let's see if I can be more clear...

The Macan is in the compact SUV class. It shares that classification with other compact SUV's like the Honda CRV, Toyota RAV, Ford Bronco Sport, Jeep Compass, Chevy Equinox, KIA Sportage, Mazda CX5, and others.

All "girlie" cars IMO. And I suspect in the opinion of most.
e/gear.

Hope this clears up my "Opinion"

True, they are heavy. I've owned 3 Road Kings and the Street Glide (a Dyna and couple soft tails too). Kind of amazing how easy they are to operate, even for a small guy like myself.

I actually looked forward to winter riding here. Because summer is blazing hot sitting on top of that big V-twin.

Sounds like they took a page out of HP playbook then... HP has(had at least) rf chips in cartridges so you cannot refill them and reinstall. I had to keep 4 cartridges as it stored the last 3 and if it was empty then it refused to see it as full. So I dumped HP printers.

Some of the newer touring sleds have liquid cooled heads. (Mine does) It does cut down on some of that heat at lower speeds. At 70 mph you really can't feel much of it anyway. Can't hear much of the radio either unless you've got it at ear-splitting volume.

Some of us don't need an F250 to bolster our masculinity.

Using your theory, you drive a Macan to get in touch with your feminine side.

Looking at the weather predicted out there, I decided to take the Ranger. Even my winter wheels/ tires on the "sports cah" are way wider than the truck.

Actually, no. It is theoretical extrapolation.

You may be the least articulate engineer I have witnessed. And that’s in addition to the poor math skills. It’s no wonder you spent a career in government employment.

I find it hilarious that you attempt to disparage my math and english skills while at the same time demonstrating yours so poorly.

In engineering, interpolation is usually permissible, but extrapolation is never allowed.

I worked for StateGovCo for a very short time. I was going to quit after 6 months but soldiered through to 11 so I could round up to one year on my resume. Prior to and since then I have been a consultant working for private firms, except for a three year stint as chief engineer for a private contracting firm.

Excellent idea, one I suggested in post #49. No worries now. No tool kit needed, not DVOM, spare wiring, spare fusible link, fire extinguishers, etc.

Will you be able to still bicker with Lars while on your trip? We don't want to miss out.

IMO, Lar's opinion of "I have a big truck and a Harley'' shows me he is a victim of successful advertising that makes gullible people spend money. If everybody were like you and I, fixing our own stuff, being self-sufficient, and not living on credit, the country would collapse even faster than it already is.
Lars is good people, like most of us here, but does have a few delusions and mis-conceptions that make life interesting.
