My uncle was a cop in the 60's. He responded to a call of a young woman who had committed suicide by hanging one day. Turned out he knew her from high school,and felt that being found hung with piano wire, with her hands wired tight behind her back and her name carved into her chest with a knife just MIGHT not have been a suicide. He wasn't a cop much longer after that....

Actually the lyrics I wrote down are the correct Bruce Springsteen version. Manfred Mann's Earth Band changed them to Revved up like a deuce.

MMEB is a better version of the song and even better because I don't have to listen to Bruce Springsteen. Never like that dude and his style or his politics.
