Never had a technical writing course. Never thought that I would need it, yet late in my career I found myself doing a great deal of writing. I found that I had a knack for it. I was having to explain fairly complex technical matters to people with no technical expertise in the field at all, and do it in such a way that I could make them understand the premise without making their eyes glaze over. Got too good at it, actually, because a few times my bosses made me put on a suit and go downtown to explain shit to the bigwigs. I hated that so I always insisted upon, and got, a driver for those occasions.

I never allow anyone on the internet to crap on my days, no one is that important.

I try to never seriously criticize anyone, I may be snarky with a post or two, but I do not wage battle, I try to never be malacious.

Life is tough on many days, we all need this site to help us separate from the tough crap in life, hopefully many find their solace and escape here.

In general, people reading others' writing interpret it one or two tones worse than whatever is written. Its why email, text and forums can cause trouble without anyone intending it.
