Good morning Ricky, Ben, and all you sleepy heads!

Mild and cloudy with rain/snow for today. Above freezing so I don't think it will stay long on the ground.

I fell into the old car trap yesterday, throwing good money after bad on my hooptie Honda. I put all new front brakes and rear brake lines on it 2 weeks ago to the tune of 800$ and then.....you guessed it, the transmission goes on it yesterday.
So the car is scrap I guess and I'm looking for another grocery getter. Looking at a Hundai Elantra 2012. Any pros or cons on that model?

Cheers everyone, have a great weekend and try to behave! :lolg:

Morning Robbie.

It might be cheaper having the transmission repaired on the Honda.

Morning Ben, Rikki, Kermie, Lisa

With the price of cars right now still stupid high Kermie I'd fix the Honda.

Rain pretty much all night here so Bear will be a muddy mess all day

Have a good day everyone

Agreed. Especially if you have history with this vehicle and know timing belt service history, etc. Usually $3k will get you a tranny rebuild with a warranty, or you may be able source a low mile used one for less if you know a mechanic that won't break it off in you.

Morning Ben, Rikki, Robbie, Lisa, and Rod

I don't know anything about about Hyundais Robbie so I will defer to someone knowledgeable.

I am going to have new wheels put on the '21 Vette this morning. I am looking forward to the new look. I am switching the OEM silver Tridents to OEM black Tridents.

I should get my '19 back this week. I will then detail it and then put it up for sell.

My dad is in the hospital for a minor surgery so I am going to see him this afternoon after I get my haircut.

Have a great day all.

Good luck to your dad.
Those black wheels should look badass.

I think I'd consider fixing it BUT the floors are very rusty with quite a few holes and I'm having a hard time even lifting it on the lift spots without going through the floor so I'm thinking it would be scrappd soon anyway.

All good he's in Canada. The kids will take it for a joyride up to Tim Hortons and return it with a sixer of Molson in the passenger seat as gas money.

Hello all.

Been a minute, finally on the recovery end. Ended up not being a stone but a complete ureter obstruction, required emergency surgery, then got post op infection in kidney.

I don't have a dick, but if I did, it would have been knocked in the dirt.

WADDA misst?

Thanks! Still tired but 90% better.

Don’t envy you at all! The surgeon didn’t prepare me for the lengthy recovery. Of course he thought I had a stone (which I didn’t) and then the subsequent infection. He did surgery Fri and said I would be able to work the following Wednesday.

Would like to avoid that again but hard to know how to avoid when etiology still undetermined.
