I have an ‘18 Exoedition with big eco boot engine and it has 100k on it .. engine still pulls hard but the 10 speed has selection issues at slower speeds. I don’t intend to sell it anytime soon , needs new shocks and will run it another 100k.

But to the Stellantis motor, it’s hard to tell if it’s made to run 200k like fords ecoboost.

Ford seems to have solved the turbo lag problem, at least with the 2.3L I4 in my Ranger. And it's good good low-end torque. Stellantis likely learned from that.

I think that there have been studies done on the most efficient cylinder size, and it's 500cc. So you'll see a lot of 2.0 I4s, 3.0 I6s. Maybe someone will bring back the straight eight in a 4.0L displacement

There are better channels than Motor Week. I've known this for over a year+, and the hurricane has been tested by many on YouTube.

The power some are pushing is crazy. My DD is a GR Corolla with 300 hp from a 1.6L turbo 3 cylinder.

Besides the occasional classical music and the British shows, Motorweek and This Old House are probably the only two not particularly woke programs PBS/NPR produces. I did enjoy Click and Clack, before they dropped it, and the travel programs with Steve Whatshisname were OK most of the time. Even Nova went woke, sadly.

I'll take bland over agit-prop any day of the week.

I’ve owned two 6-cylinder trucks in my life.

One was a 1993 GMC WT. A basic truck with regular cab and 8’ bed. Bought it new for 14 grand when I started my building business. It served its purpose and I traded it on a loaded GMC with a V8 a year later.

The second one was a 2017 Ram crew cab Tradesman. Another basic truck that served its purpose for about a year.

Both were ok but I don’t think I’d buy another 6-cylinder truck again.

I'm not sure where you're going on this. You think that Stellantis just tagged on turbos on and old I6 design and called it good? If the engine is made for the power claimed, it's internals are beefed up for that output so it's not overstressed.

Only ones who'll be torqued out will be the owners

Looks like the high output version requires super unleaded.

Low budget, use it to tow your shit to the track, then race it on the track. Over and over at over. Nothing but respect from me here.

Chrysler doesn't own Ram and neither does Dodge. Stellantis does, and Ram has been a separate brand since 2010.

Didn't you have a Canyon / Colorado for a couple of days too? And a Tacoma?
