Little guy needs your prayers and well wishes - Update
update post 58
My friends grandson is at Wolfson Childrens Hospital where he is being treated for Lukemia. His name is Hayden Williams. He has had his first treatments this week. It was discovered only last week. He is getting weak and cannot eat. He made a new friend yesterday. President George W. Bush was in Jacksonville for a fund raiser for the hospital. He picked Hayden to visit. He came in the room and immediately started a conversation with Hayden. I think most of us will agree that George is a stand up guy with a lot of class. Hayden has a long way to go and your prayers and good thoughts will help him get through this battle. Thanks see post 51 for update Update - Little Hayden has undergone significant chemo and has had one transplant which did not graft. We are very worried about Hayden. He will be having a second transplant. The doctors say that this transplant material (stem cells) is not as good a match as the first one but given the time they have, it is all they can do. Lord, please lay your healing hands on brave little Hayden so that he will be healed.
Lord, he's so young to have to go through this. We lift his family up in prayer. Be with them as they go through this frightening, faith-testing experience. There's nothing that pierces a mother's heart like the hurting of her child. We curse lukemia and all forms of sickness and disease In Jesus' name. May all those bad cells in Hayden's body wither and die immediately in light of Jesus' resurrection power. In your name we pray, Lord. Amen.

Hayden has had a tough go of it. His white blood count dropped very very low. He was having extreme difficulty getting enough oxygen. He was immediately placed in Pediatric ICU. they have all procedures ready to go if needed. Night before last, doctors said his count must go up above 1000. I do ncot know what would happen if they did not. At that time, the head of the hospitals ICU units told the parents, that Haydens health is now in God's hands. That is nothing a parent really wants to here from a physician but he was being honest.
by yesterday morning, his count was up to 500 (a huge improvement). His breathing was not nearly as labored. I really think Little Hayden dogded a big bullet yesterday. Your prayers and positive thoughts are important. He needs improvement in his white blood count. thanks to you all Buster |
