Exactamundo My split window was nailed by a Latino uninsured jerk (doubt he was in the US legally) in an Escalade - a damned Escalade and my company had to cover repairs (National Corvette Museum) - the bastard didn't even have any assets to go after. He even tried to sue me but got shut down quickly.

Depending on state this victim could try a DV (Diminished Value) claim but if the other party is uninsured it'll just be a bookkeeping exercise.

A PSA: If you live in FLA and many other states get "stacked" uninsured coverage:

Dude I’ve looked up Avay but didn’t find it to be a Hebrew or Yiddish word or nickname. I know the term was used in the movie Snatch. Can you please make some sense of it all?

Considering his admitted aggressive driving style it is quite possible that he was the cause of the accident.

FWIW, I've had Travelers for years and can't say enough good things about them. My local indy agent is also first class, and that helps.

Five years ago a deer jumped out, I was doing about 50, and did $11,400 worth of damage on my truck.

The guy who fixed it (a buddy) said the appraiser was first-class, didn't question anything, upped the dollars as more things wrong were found. I had zero issues, couldn't have asked for a smoother transaction.

And now my '23 Mazda has a gouge down the side, is going to the body shop in a couple weeks, and so far my interaction with Travelers has been first class.

Unusual in this day and age of dealing with mostly shit companies.

Holy balls. I live in the deer infested corn fields of Ohio. I've hit a few myself and seen the result of more than I can count. I have never seen a truck look THAT bad from a 50 mph deer hit.

Hell, I hit 1 at about 45 in my dually not long ago. The bastard pushed the bumper back and I had to wash the hair out of the grille. The bumper popped back out the next day.

All drivers i the USA should be required to take a written test every 10 years. Any driver who gets a moving violation or is "At fault" in an accident must take a road test .

My dad refused to stop driving in his mid 80's and was a danger to those around him. We contacted the state and they suspended his license.

a proud retired Marine who fought in WWII and Korea admitted a few months later he was glad it happened because he could have killed someone.

My FIL at that point.. I don't let son ride with him anymore. He cut across 5 lanes one day in super heavy traffic lucky didn't kill everyone in van. That was it.. He's about 80 and a total dick when try to talk to him about it too as he is with everything try to talk to him about. He don't want your fkin opinion as he knows it all. So I get wifey to lay down the law and she don't take shit from him. It's hilarious.

ICNLT, and we were told by you FL has the worse drivers, and the most blue hairs on the road.

In FL when you drive cool cars, EVERYONE gets out of your way, ask me how I know this,,,

Truck was only a year old.

I was so pissed I gave the doe an abortion. The cop pointed it out in the mess scattered all over. He said something like: "Well that's two deer that won't be causing accidents."

Looks like pretty minor bumper damage. Hitch probably saved you from any more damage.
