I agree with Jodi's picks. You could also visit Stone Mt. for the nice view of Atlanta (ride a tram to top)....it's a gigantic granite rock. If you like to shop, visit Phipp's Plaza. The aquarium is pretty cool. Safe travels!

Why sir, the good people of Tennessee were not on the right side of the fight, so take the Confederate plate off your Corvette, and leave us alone. (I will however say that except for the occasional Braves game I avoid Atlanta like the plague) And Neece, I'm still trying to get my damn grass cut!

Well, we are taking the MIL to Charleston, so I can have an excuse to not attend the ol' high school reunion.. Seriously, we have been trying to get her o ER there all of September....it is her home, and we want to go one last time before she can't remember it.

We were doing just fine, until "Unconditional Surrender" Grant showed up and kicked our arses at Fort Donelson.

Tn sort of had a raw deal on the whole thing. Too many union sympathizers made it tough for those supporting the confederacy. GA was shot to hell by the time Sherman rolled through. He did way more damage than he needed to, but he proved a point

While I didn't cut any grass, nor did I make it to Atlanta...I decided to head East and I'm currently sitting in Myrtle Beach, SC. After making a pass through Charleston for a bite to eat...Neece and Thomas are good people and they seem to like me and I didn't even fawn over them. Thank you Neece and Thomas for your generous hospitality
