The FX4 is the same as the FX2 and it has taller rims and street tires. The FX4 is AWD. I really would like to see a F150 FX4 in the same situation and I would bet that it would fail as well. Sure, the other F150 SuperCrew models that come with better off road tires may handle it just fine, but those who come with regular all season tires would likely fail. Unfortunately, we don't have a video of a F150 trying to drive through the same situation. Of course, the off-road package that Ford offers would have tires that get the job done but the street package would likely not handle it. |

And even if any other standard truck did struggle, putting better winter tires on the F150 doesn't reduce it's overall capabilities.
Taking another significant chunk of range out of the already marginal at best range of the Tesla, and even more range loss at highway speeds certainly does. It turns it into a vehicle that simply cannot be used for anything, much less towing or hauling, outside of a contained metropolitan area. So yes, I guess if your argument is that the only people buying the Cybertruck are people who will use it for nothing beyond running to Target and Starbucks regardless, it's no big deal. |

Just heard the local radio DJ reporting on the Hertz-WV thing, and he mentioned a good friend of his took a trip around the country in her EV and was having fun until she hit a snowstorm in Colorado and the car went dead when it was supposed to have 103 miles left to go. She was stuck for hours, freezing, in 11 feet of snow. This is life and death shit right here. EV's are good on the golf course or retirement community. As viable, long range utilitarian transportation? NOPE.
