That is what I am hearing, just hard to believe so many beautiful ladies are in the Philippines.

Was just telling my wife that when we get there on next trip I wanted to spend some time with my buddies I have over there. She said it is fine, but I have to take one of her brothers or an approved cousin with me so that I do not get "in trouble" (meaning that she does not trust the other Filipina women and knows that there are some that will chase after me because I am a white guy)

I didn't ask for pictures. We would like up to date reports of your adventures in Manila as they happen.

We should also start a list of things to try in Manila. Couple friendly of course.

Try Lechon. The best pork roast i ever had.
Enjoy the "spaghetti" at Jollibee.
Visit Greenhills shopping center. Thousands of little shops selling everything cheap.
Watch in amazement as a local beats foreigners at pool while only using one of his arms and legs.
Ride in a jeepney.
Bribe a cop.
Visit a white sand beach. The darker sand beaches just don't work.

They love white skin and even themselves do everything they can to avoid getting any sun so that they also look as white as possible. My wife likes to touch my nose since it is not flat, like a Filipino nose. She (as well as the others) think a big nose is sexy

And to be a little "tambok" or fat is considered good looking as well. That means you have plenty to eat and not always hungry.

On the flip side...they do not like a beard or mustache. It is thought to be dirty. I keep a beard even though my wife does not like it. I trim it down, but I hate shaving so much that I prefer to keep my facial hair.

I talked to a couple of guys today about this, they confirmed if I was just to walk around pretty Filipinos would be stopping me to talk, I am surprised but now I understand why some have been so aggressive online.

That is what the guys at work was telling me today. Some of the stories they told me I was surprised about.

I decided to extend my vacation from one week to two weeks, to be able to take in more sites.

Cool, thanks for the list, I was looking to get a hotel near the Greenhills shopping center, something we can walk around and chat about stuff.

In the past I was chatting with a few Filipino girls, they all said for at least first meet they all wanted clean shaven, needless to say my six inch beard is gone. Interesting to me was not one said they wanted to cut my hair which is a little more than shoulder length.

The P-I is corrupt. Even down to the street cop. So, folks joke about it at times. Sometimes it happens like this; the street cop sees a mark, stops the mark, the mark provides a few pesos. The street cop forgets he saw a violation. There are other ways the cop makes money on the side. Kidnapping; see Korean business owner in Angeles City earlier this year. I just thought of the best corrupt way to make money. This one is just a general corruption that doesn't involve the po-po. A friend of mine lived past Angeles University. Traffic is often very heavy there. Tuition is soon due for students, an important part to know here. My friend is on his way home once again with heavy traffic near the school and his speed is low. A young lady sees an American driving an American car. She steps out in front of him. He can't stop in time and hits her. It's a minor car vs pedestrian accident. He gives her a few pesos, kind words, and all is ok, right? Wrong. She sues him in local court. What she didn't know is we all had made friends with a local connection. Ben. Ben was actually a decent fella that'd made good through working with the base providing goods and services. My friend contacts Ben. Ben says, "Walang Problema". A few days later the charges disappear, the girl disappears, and "Walang Problema". The girl doesn't bother my friend for money again.

More to the story, sadness involving Ben. Ben went to sleep one night back in '88 and didn't wake up. He must've had a heart attack during his sleep time.

And you wonder why I have a negative opinion of going there Johnny. I wouldn't have any idea how to play the necessary games to survive there......
