I was working in my home office. My wife called me and told me to turn on the TV and I saw the first building burning. I knew it was going to collapse. Then the second one got hit. I figured that at least 30,000 people would be dead by the end of the day. A miracle that it was only 1/10th of that.

I was at work and it was morning break when the first plane hit. Wasn't sure if it was an actual accident or what. Then the second plane hit and knew it was no accident.


Can't wait until they "unseal" the papers to see who was really behind this.

9/10/2001 ..My wife woke me at 4 am and told me that her water had just broke and our baby was coming so i jumped up to put my clothes on and fell backwards into the closet trying to get my underwear on...No Joke..I sleep naked and I love it baby....anyway we went to the hospital and my little girl was delivered around 7:30 am very wonderful experience..she was an angel 10 fingers/10 toes and smiling already. They spent the night in the hospital and i came back the next day to hear it on the TV in our hospital room ..we just looked at each other and thought WTH. I will Never Forget

heading to downtown Chicago to the Sears tower via the train with local firends.....got to downtown found our friend's husband who worked at AMTRAK and came back to their house not far from O' Hare . Very eerie to hear no planes for many days but fighter jets. They let the small planes fly 1st so 6 days later we flew home.......i made the flight crew laugh to lighten the mood...lots of scared folks. I was getting ready to buy a muscle car and drive home

Was training with customs and state police K-9's on cargo planes at BWI airport when first heard the word. Worked 6 weeks straight, no days off, 12 on 12 off. Terrible day.

The structural plans for the building can easily be found online. Massive steel columns in an outer ring and inner core, supported laterally by light "bar joist" floors. I also read the analysis done by ASCE. A serious review of the situation draws only one sane conclusion- the buildings collapsed exactly like would be expected in that situation.

Had just arrived at work in Irving TX where I was the engineering network manager. I walked into the area where all the CAD drivers were and there was a TV on. I thought that was weird but then saw what was happening. My boss came up to me after an hour and told me that we were all going home and to secure/shut down the network. My (then) wife calls to say she was taking the kids out of school.

I remember just having a sick feeling all day, kinda like when the Challenger exploded.

I get home and the kids are playing happily and wife is behaving like the black helicopters are circling the house. I had to tell that there's nothing in Texas worth attacking and to tap the brakes on the hysteria or I'd take the kids to a hotel.

Little did I know that it would be a precursor of her behavior to come.

Everyone knows it was Marines that went in The Towers everyday and set explosives on every floor without being noticed.

We were warned not to discuss it wih civilians becasue or the rumors, one rumor was that a plane loaded with anthrax was headed to Wash DC, I managed to get a call through to the wife and told her to get in the car snd drive south past Ft. Belvoir and to NOT stop unless she heard from me.. My daughter attending college at Jacksonville University spent a whole day trying to locate her Mom and I even contracting Red Cross....she reached us that night and could barely gasp out how greateful she was that we were OK between sobs.

The next day the wife and I were outside (you could still smell the smoke from the Pentagon) and not a plane was flying in/out of Reagan airport (unprecedented) and then we saw a squadron of planes roll in and I'm pretty sure it was Air Force 1 returning Bush to DC. I found out two days later an employee lost her husband in the Pentagon conflagration. The same week ALL contractors of Middle East extraction were prohibited from the building regardless of status or clearance level.

I lived through 9/11, the anthrax attacks and the DC sniper and afterwards told the wife its time to retire and get the hell outta Dodge. I retired Oct 1st 2001.

You should be clearer on the meaning of "hoax". If you mean that it didn't happen, I'll smack them right with you. If you mean a LOT of unexplained circumstances, I have questions and doubts.

Example: In what I imagine has to be one of the most secure, monitored, buildings in the COUNTRY, there is one horrible, choppy, 5 fps, crappy video of the Pentagon getting hit? Gimme a break. I'll bet there are 30 different angles of the building being hit.

Also the ability to make cell phone calls from the planes.

And, as I mentioned before, the building 7 collapse.

I was at my desk at work, an employee call me to advise a 'small plane' hit one of the towers, after that I went on the internet, a lot of confusion and multiple reports, none telling the actual story, then the second plane hit.

Then all hell broke loose, no employees came in, three that were there were sent home at noon, the internet was very slow and mostly useless, land lines went down, cell phones were on and off, wife was unnerved so I told her to pick up our two school-age daughters, I stayed in the office until about 2 PM, corporate office said to shut it down and offices would be closed tomorrow. I remember listening to news radio on my drive home, most questions had been answered by then, thankfully the body count never reached the 10,000 that was being predicted.

Flew into Dulles Va. early AM on a puddle jumper, landed and probably went under UA93.

Got out, ride picked me up, said plane hit WTC #1. Listening to news. Went to office all watching TV, saw Plane #2. From our location, one block away was the CIA mapping building. 8-12 Hummers w 50 cal and rockets took up defense positions and closed roads.

Toll road shut down next, air traffic halted, dead quite and people in shock when buildings fell.

Hitched a ride back home but trip was all backroads through Manasas battlefield etc. 4 of us in caravan. The two that worked for me hung in office for a day and drove back to Texas next day. Having a rental car was worth it’s weight in gold if ya were traveling.

Building 7 was a 47-storey commercial office building, situated immediately to the north of the main World Trade Center complex. The building was not directly hit by hijacked aircraft, but collapsed on the afternoon of 11 September, hours after the North and South Towers collapsed, after falling debris ignited fires in the building.

It is true that the BBC reported the collapse of the building before it actually happened. The building collapsed at 5.20pm on 11 September 2001, but a journalist reported that it had fallen at 4.54pm (both local time).

This has been addressed directly a number of times by the broadcaster.

Richard Porter, a senior editor within the BBC’s global service at the time of the attack, published a blog in 2007 detailing how the mistake could have been made during live reporting.

He highlighted the fact that American broadcaster CNN had reported that the building was on fire and in danger of collapse as early as 4.15pm, with other local channels making similar claims. Mr Porter also pointed to the fact that several other BBC services had run similar lines about a large building having collapsed. He suggested this meant it was likely at least one news agency was reporting this as fact at the time, or reporting someone having claimed this.

He also wrote: “We're not part of a conspiracy. Nobody told us what to say or do on September 11th. We didn't get told in advance that buildings were going to fall down. We didn't receive press releases or scripts in advance of events happening.

“In the chaos and confusion of the day, I'm quite sure we said things which turned out to be untrue or inaccurate - but at the time were based on the best information we had. We did what we always did - sourced our reports, used qualifying words like "apparently" or "it's reported" or "we're hearing" and constantly tried to check and double check the information we were receiving.

“If we reported the building had collapsed before it had done so, it would have been an error - no more than that.”

The conspiracy theory that World Trade Center 7 was demolished emerged almost as soon as the event itself unfolded, and has circulated online ever since.

In 2008 the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) released a report which found that the extraordinary heat created by the fires in World Trade Center 7 caused a critical support column in the building to fail, which gradually led to its collapse.

The fires were caused by debris that fell during the collapse of the North Tower (World Trade Center 1), igniting on at least 10 floors of Building 7. On some floors they burned out of control due to a failure in the sprinkler system.

Lame sauce since the report had VIDEO of the building still standing in the background. That is far more than just error. Imagine reporting that Biden had passed away while he is on live TV. Would that be a simple error?
