Pan Seared Halibut
Pan Seared Halibut for dinner tonight.... more fish my Brother caught last month on his trip up there.....the salmon was good, this is great
Pan searing adds a nice crust to the outside of the halibut. Lightly spice how you like.... Use a non stick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over a medium high heat. Add the halibut and sear for 5 to 7 minutes. Flip the fish and add 2 tablespoons of butter, spoon the butter over the halibut as they cook for another 5 to 7 minutes. Your time might vary depending on the thickness of the steak or fillet. Melts in your mouth! |

I've never been much of a fish eater. Fried catfish and take out crap most of my life.
What does Halibut taste like? Real fishy or mild like some other types? |

Pan seared halibut takes me about 3 minutes total. Salmon I do for about 8 minutes in the oven....5 at 400 and 3 or 4 min on broil.
I hate dry, overcooked fish. YMMV |
