not making them anymore.

simple search shows that H2 is expensive, hard to handle and store, and if often made from 'fossil fuels'. we could just save a step.....
Just proves the cart and the horse conundrum. The cars worked, but the infrastructure wasn't there, yet Honda made it possible for a consumer to generate it from their own garage. The fact that they bowed to the external pressures is sad. Battery technology is NOT the answer. The grids can't handle it, and the landfills can't handle all of the wasted batteries. Let's not forget that China owns most of the rare earth elements needed for these batteries.

When California can't handle summer and tells people to not use their A/C and to not plug in their EV's, we know we have a problem. And California wants 100% of their population to drive EV's....good luck with that...LOL.

You would think they would consintrate on the inadequate grid first.

That would require them to engage their brain to think beyond today.

And blaming us for global warming, sure we are screwing shit up. But 10,000 years ago there was a thick sheet of ice covering a good part of the planet.

What tyranny? All of that rambling you just did is nothing more than a paranoid fantasy. The fact is anyone who wants to buy an ICE car will have the ability to do so for the foreseeable future.

Ridiculous. My boss is on his second Honda Clarity and his fuel tanks have never leaked.

I think it’s because these things are being marketed as the earth’s savior and people believe it. Yet anyone with two functioning brain cells can see the holes in all this EV crap.

And no. Not yet. But you don’t have to look too far into future to see what direction auto makers are going.

If you were about to say "the gas station has a fossil-fueled backup generator" then guess what? The EV owner can have one of those too and "sustain" just fine.

Yeh, they going electric alright, but todaze approaches will NOT WORK well for very LONG......

Electric cars will probably take about 100 years for a very major breakthrough in tech that will make it possible for major use on an everyday basis, replacing gasoline entirely.....

Libs, being smarter than the rest of us, have never realized this simple fact: the climate is always changing, and they lack the power to change it.

Once all the gas and diesel powered vehicles are eliminated from California's roads, that will free up lots of fuel to power electric generators, which can then be used to charge up the electric cars. Winning!

You forget that CA is has also started banning gas powered lawn equipment. Only a matter of time before it gets applied to all small engines.

And has required solar on every new home for the past two years or so and into the future. Even in areas like Grover Beach that get ten days of sun a year.

I agree with that. My neighbor of the house I just sold had a crew do his property once/ week. Leaf season was the worst. He has a lot of trees in a fenced yard, and they would force the leaves over the fence into the woods. Since I worked at home the noise was unbearable. I'd plan ahead though, leave the house and do errands, put on my work-tunes and clean the garage, or fire up my own leaf blower and join in the commotion.

You need to move to Mill Valley or Belvedere, where StorytellerStealth lives. Exclusive, Marin County neighborhoods that have outlawed offensive noisy appliances that assault their delicate liberal constitutions.

You need to look at the newer battery technologies, like Aluminum-Sulfur and Solid State. Both offer higher energy density and higher charging rates.

All of this, in our lifetime, only serves to move power/pollution generation from the cities to the hinterlands. We need nuke.
