7.3 Ford, I've had mine as a daily driver, ski boats. Heavy equipment and it keeps going! I love my truck even being 20 years old

New or used? Im under the impression the chevys/gmc have the best ride, and dodge the worst. Fords new motors seem to be quite complicated (expensive to maintain/work on). The earlier duramaxes have ridiculous fuel and injector issues. I really dont know much about the newer Fiats, errr Dodge.

Having been a chevy family my whole life,I found the fords controls were just different enough to be annoying. Suggest you go drive all three and see what fits you the best.

We buy Ford trucks for our business. We use them to pull boats. The company owns Two 650’s and two 350’s. We have found Ford trucks are the best for pulling trailers.

I was always a ford guy. for my business I was exclusively ford, but one of the guys really wanted a chebbie. I bought two chevy's. from a repair perspective, the chevy trucks have needed more consumable items like brakes. both brands have been good for not needing major repairs until you really stack the miles on and get close or above about 200k miles. my personal preference is ford, I like the interface for connecting my phone and playing music. I also think it has a nicer interior.

It was awhile ago, about ten years, but I worked as a service writer at a Ford dealership. We had two very good Diesel mechanics there. The both owned Chevy Duramaxes.

If you up your budget 5 or 6k you can still get a higher mileage 2012 f250.

Just don't want a 2011. First year for the 6.7L

It was Ford's first year with a in house clean sheet design diesel. Great motor just first year issues are cropping up. HP fuel pump which can be expensive. EGR was another issue. A lot of people delete that though.

Agree if you don't mind stopping every 100 miles to recharge.
