I've seen the exact same dogs at the pet store. Right above the cage it says "Dogs for Loooosers". They have a Mother Theresa spirit in them.

Law of Attraction ---
That which you give attention to will grow ..
You attract cicumstances that are in line with your dominant feelings .
Worry attracts more stuff to worry about .
Happiness and contentment attract ---- get the picture ..
Make an effort to concentrate on happy things and slowly slowly you will see a change ..

Remember --- You are in control of your thoughts so tell yourself to find some good ones ..

One last thing --- The universe doesn't respond to questions or requests --- just positve demands ---so don't be wishy washy .

Good luck ..

He lived in his car in the parking lot of a local refinery and eventually weaseled a full time job.

Later in life, after building a business and being happy once more, Egnalf had bigger problems, losing most of his childhood friends in one year, losing his business partner, and finding out his accountant had royally screwed him and he owed mid six figures to the IRS. He also lost the girl.

over time, things get better. Keep the faith, and find small things to make you happy. A good movie, a nice bottle of wine, perhaps a date with a woman you meet out of the blue. Savor each small win, and build a series of them, never letting down your guard that things can change quickly. There is a lot of good out there, but you have to be open to accepting it when you find it. Try not to let yourself become too focused on the voices in your head. Those voices are little creeps that always think the worst about yourself. I am too _______, too__________, whatever the case may be. They are to be ignored.
great stuff Flange. I wish most men had mentors that have this kind off experience to pass on. I have a few I look up to. My dad is one of them. Even at my age it would have been great to have more of that to grow up around.

***egnalf. you must be dyslexic, lol.

reality can sometimes suck. how we handle it matters. in my case, I am like a fireman whereas I run toward problems and try to take them on instead of running. others aren't built that way, they often run first and make it worse, knowing that they will have to deal with it at some point anyway. I figure you have to deal with it anyway, might as well just knock it out asap and skip the mental bullshit of wondering and worrying. that said, I am not afraid to admit that when all that stuff hit me within a few month period, it took me some time to get my head screwed back on straight. I made sure not to make it worse and quit drinking booze of any kind for a few years.

there is plenty of help available for those who need it. some, like me, just happen to be stubborn enough to grind it out and help themselves. not everyone has that fire in them as I do

Always had the stubborn part down. I guess the other issue is most people do not listen to advice along the way as well.

they often spend too much time listening to the voices in their head. its best to treat those as foes most of the time. the mind needs to be worked to avoid those.

If I go back I've already been warned that my every post will be reported.

I'm up for that challenge.
